Pejović Guitars is a small family enterprise focused on crafting unique high-end guitars, both acoustic and electric. We also offer instrument repair and organize music sessions in our home studio.
We are two brothers, Andrija and Ivan Pejović, who joined forces with our wives, Gorana and Tamara, to turn our long-time hobby into a business. Our guitars are made with utmost love, passion and devotion hence our vision is to hear them played around the world in the same manner. We’re also dedicated to building a strong community of musicians and music lovers amongst the hills and rocks of Cetinje, the old royal Montenegrin town that shaped us and brought us together.
The first Pejović guitar was born out of curiosity, necessity, and fun some 20 years ago. This prototype, still fully functional, sparked our imagination and we continued experimenting and innovating with each new instrument. Being raised in an artisan family, we used the tools and materials at our father’s workshop to craft as many guitar parts as we could: pickups, nuts, bridges, knobs… Thrilled with the results, we shared our first instruments with our friends. Some of them had their own design ideas, which we incorporated into the guitars they ended up owning. In 2019, our efforts were recognized by the Montenegrin Ministry of Culture, who supported us financially in developing Vertigo, our first model for small serial production. We created both 6- and 7-string designs and Vertigo 6 has already found four new owners.
Repairing guitars is actually how it all started. By fixing and modifying the first electric guitar we got, we studied the instrument and forged an unbreakable bond with it. Over the years, Ivan has brought numerous stringed instruments (not only guitars!) back to life and has become the go-to guitar “fixer” in Montenegro.
And what better place to test all our creations than the Pejović Guitars Home Studio? For years, Andrija’s been upgrading it and expanding his music production skills, all while composing and recording his own music. Little by little, he’s made our studio available for recording, producing, and jamming, which resulted in some truly memorable moments.
We all love sharing the news about or work and how it is inseparable from the beautiful town in which we live, but none of us more than Gorana. Being a licensed tour guide, she created a tour, available on Mondays and Fridays, in which visitors are welcomed to our hometown and our home for the unique and unforgettable Resonating Cetinje Experience. Gorana will show you around the place full of history and small, everyday wonders and introduce you to our team, our workshop, and our home studio. All of us will make sure that the experience fully resonates!
